Nimbalyst Released: A Local All-in-One Editor Based on Claude Code

Nimbalyst is a free local WYSIWYG editor and conversation management tool designed specifically for collaboration with Claude Code. It allows users to work with Markdown documents, prototypes, diagrams, data models, and code in a unified interface without switching between different tools. The tool supports AI iteration on HTML prototypes, can build data models using documents, conversations, and code as context, and manages workflows across multiple Claude Code sessions. Nimbalyst solves the problem of traditional IDEs being unsuitable for handling text and diagrams, improving development efficiency by integrating all contextual resources. While the tool itself is free, it requires a Claude Pro or Max subscription to use. Currently supports macOS, Windows, and Linux platforms and has achieved SOC-Type 2 certification.
