Picknplace.js is an innovative interaction library that provides a new alternative to traditional drag-and-drop functionality. Addressing the issues of complex, slow, and error-prone drag-and-drop operations on mobile devices, the author has designed a simple three-step interaction model: select item, scroll to position, and place target. In this approach, when a user selects an item, an interactive copy of the list is created above the original list and updates in real-time based on scroll position. Finally, users can complete the operation by confirming or canceling. As a proof of concept for frontend designers, Picknplace.js offers new insights for mobile interaction experiences. While currently just a demonstration project, its innovative interaction model is worthy of attention and reference by frontend developers and UI designers.
