This article explores the use of context variables in Dify platform’s LLM nodes, focusing on solving the technical challenge of integrating multiple knowledge retrieval results within a single LLM node. Through practical experience, the author discovered that Dify’s context variables currently only allow selecting the output from a single knowledge retrieval node, which contrasts with Coze platform’s capability to configure multiple knowledge retrieval outputs simultaneously. The article presents a solution using Code nodes to integrate multiple retrieval results but also points out that this approach may lead to prompt separation issues. This technical analysis offers valuable insights for developers building LLM applications with Dify, helping to optimize workflow design and understand the platform’s design philosophy.
