NovelKit is an open-source AI-assisted novel creation toolkit that operates with slash commands, enabling users to write novels like code in AI development environments such as Cursor and Claude. The tool offers over 40 commands in the /novel.xxx format, covering the entire novel creation process from chapter creation and character management to plot planning. All commands feature interactive design, with data stored in JSON format for easy version control and collaboration. NovelKit isn’t standalone software but exists as a plugin for AI environments, fully leveraging the context recall capabilities of AI tools. Users can install it via uv or pip and start using it in Cursor immediately after initialization. This innovative tool demonstrates the application potential of AI technology in creative writing, offering writers a brand-new creative approach.
