Wansan Studio Launches: Local Excel Chat-Based BI Tool with Drag-and-Drop Simplicity

Wansan Studio has released Wansan Studio, a local Excel chat-based BI tool independently developed by a Java developer in their spare time. The tool uses Electron for its UI and DuckDB as the core OLAP database engine, supporting near-zero latency processing of millions of data rows locally. It utilizes a BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) LLM for logical reasoning. Users simply drag and drop Excel, CSV, or JSON files, ask questions in natural language, and automatically generate charts and A4 reports. Data security is emphasized with original data never leaving the device. The developer shared their experience of full-process AI-collaborative development, showcasing AI’s powerful capabilities in software development. Currently in Public Beta, the software is available for download on the official website with activation code WANSAN-BETA-2025 unlocking all features. This tool offers a new approach to simplifying BI report analysis, particularly suitable for scenarios requiring quick data report generation.
