AI-Powered Legislative Platform Lustra Launches, Tackling 95% of Legislative Blind Spots

Lustra is an open-source project created by Jacek, designed to solve the problem where 95% of legislation is overlooked due to unreadable original texts. The platform utilizes Google’s Vertex AI (Gemini 2.5 Flash) to process bills, removing political bias and ranking content through user voting (a ‘shadow parliament’). Its tech stack includes a Flutter frontend, with Firebase and Google Cloud Run powering the backend. Users can submit citizen bill drafts, which are then scored and validated by AI. The project has launched versions for the United States and Poland, with plans to expand to the EU, UK, France, and Germany. The open-source license permits non-commercial use, and contributors are welcome to help develop data adapters for other parliaments. The current goal is to enhance the database with existing funding.
